Tall-Fescue Maintenance Calendar

Always follow label directions. Some products can kill certain types of grass.  Be careful!

Mowing

  • Mow to 2”-3” in height.
  • Mow before 4” tall.
  • Leave clippings on lawn.
  • Mow to 3.5” – 4.5” in height.
  • Mow before 5” tall.
  • Leave clippings on lawn.
  • Mow to 2”-3” in height.
  • Mow before 4” tall.
  • Leave clippings on lawn.
  • Mow to 2”-3” in height.

Fertilizing

  • Do not fertilize after

   March 15 with fertilizer

   that is high in nitrogen.
